Preparing for a TikTok Ban

Is it time to get off of the bandwagon?
There’s no doubt that TikTok has been impactful for the music industry. But for independent artists and musicians, it can feel like a lot of work for very little reward.
When a new platform starts to skyrocket, creatives feel the need to join it.
There is an extreme fear of being “behind” or missing out on opportunity. What isn't considered is:
- Is your audience active on this platform?
- Is the work creating content for the platform balancing with the value you're receiving?
- Can you meaningfully connect with your audience on this platform?
Now just a month away, the potential TikTok ban is the perfect time to step back, reflect, and take action.
